Children from Macdonough School in Middletown Join Wesleyan Student-Athletes for 4th Annual Recess at Wesleyan Thursday, April 3, 2014
Approximately 60 student from the Macdonough School in Middletown came to Wesleyan for recess Thursday, April 3, 2014. It was the fourth year in a row that an area school has been invited to Wesleyan's Bacon Field House for a noontime recess in eary April. Student-athletes from numerous Wesleyan athletic teams have spent lots of time at Macdonough over the last four years to act as role models and speak to the student there on a variety of topics, including such concerns as sportsmanship. Student at the school have been working hard over the last two months earning tickets through good behavior to be able to attend the recess as only 10 students per class earned the opportunity to participate.
